SDM Instill Confidence Among Kashmiri Students

In the wake of the prevailing scenario after the scrapping of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, A joint meeting held by SDM Dera Bassi Pooja Grewal and DSP Gurbakshish Singh Mann, in which representatives of all political parties, Educational Institutions, Municipal Committees were present.In this meeting, Ms. Grewal appealed to students and public in general to maintain peace and harmony and to avoid any kind of celebrations or protests in the jurisdiction of Dera Bassi sub division. Everyone assured full cooperation in this regard. She also asked students to remain vigilant in case they move out of the concerned campus as a precautionary measure. She said that district administration and police machinery will remained vigilant in the area.DSP Gurbakshish Singh Mann also assured the safety and security of Kashmiri students in the area. He said that the Police machinery is very much active to provide sense of security to Kashmiri students.
