Jovial Festival “Teej” celebrated at Aryans Group

The 'jovial' festival of 'Teej was today celebrated with fervour and gaiety at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. Staff and students participated in various colourful activities on the occasion.The girls recited 'Bolian' and performed 'Giddha' to welcome the 'Savan', the rain month, with which the festival is associated.  Girls wearing traditional colourful attires broke into dances on the beats of the Punjabi music.Director, Aryans Group, Dr. Raman Rani Gupta talking about the significance of the Teej festival quoted “by participating in such traditional festivals we stay connected to our rich cultures, traditions and heritage.Dr. Raman appreciated the efforts of the girls and said the celebration of all such festivals and functions not only provide joy, but also a way of reviving and keeping alive the traditions and customs which are vanishing these days.
