In a major step to boost the rural economy besides providing employment to youth in villages, MARKFED has launched a sale booth in Lohian, which would, provides more than 100 eatable items.After inaugurating the sale booth former Minister and MLA Rana Gurjit Singh , MLA Hardev Singh Ladi sherowalia and ADM MARKFED Bal Mukand Sharma said that it would not only provides the world class taste to the residents of Lohian and adjoining villagers but also strengthen the Make in Punjab Campaign under the cooperation sector.ADM Bal Mukand Sharma informed that MARKFED was running the 600 sale booths across the state and now it was decided to further expand the reach of products to the rural sector. He also said that the district Jalandhar has a great potential in this sector and to catch that potential MARKFED has decided to provide sale booths in an easy way to the applicants who falls under the age group of 18 to 37 year.Hailing the efforts of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to develop the area, MLA Hardev Singh Ladi said that youth must come forward to avail the opportunities provided by the Punjab government for self employment.Prominent amongst present on the occasion included District Manager Sachin Garg, Food supply officer charnjit Singh, SAO K.K.Ketia, Branch Manager Jagdish Singh.
