Punjab's first ‘Hall of Kindness' inaugurated

Cabinet Minister Arora inaugurates, says, will play a key role in help in needy

Punjab's first ‘Hall of Kindness' has been opened by the Red Cross Society at Hoshiarpur today. At this hall, donations will be provided to the needy in form of clothes, toys, furniture and other home-appliances free of charge. Used but re-usable materials, home appliances and others articles can be donated by any donor to the Hall of Kindness. Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Sunder Sham Arora, inaugurated the ‘Hall of Kindness'this morning. The hall has been opened at Hoshiarpur in Mohala, Ishnagar adjoining Sanjhi Rasoi complex. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Isha Kalia was also present.Addressing a gathering during the inauguration ceremony, the Cabinet Minister said that this was the first project of Punjab which would further strengthen the social relations among different classes of society. He said that in the rest of the districts of the state such efforts should be made so that the needy could be provided help with the support of donors.He particularly lauded the contribution made by Pyare Lal Saini and Mahant Raminder Das of Dera Baba Charan Shah Ji for providing help to raise the ‘Hall of Kindness'. 

Arora said that the Sanjhi Rasoi has been successful with the support of good samaritans and he’s sure that in the same way this project will also be successful.Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Isha Kalia said that the main purpose of the ‘Hall of Kindness' is to become a resort for the needy, for which the participation of the donors is very important. He said that the place has been donated by Mahant Raminder Das while the donation of Rs 5 lakh has been made by Mr. Pyare Lal Saini. She appealed that such projects can be successful only with the help of donors, so maximum contribution should be made. She said that re-usable garments, toys, furniture, utensils, electronics and other home appliances can be donated in the Hall of Kindness, which will be provided free to the needy persons.During the function, Mr. Arora handed over the cheques of financial assistance to the needy patients, needy students besides the three persons who died during an accident in Azram, Rs. One lakh each.Also Rs.10-10 Thousands to 13 wounded twere handed over.On the occasion were present SDM Mr. Amit Sreen, Secretary, District Red Cross Mr. Naresh Gupta, City Congress President Advocate Rakesh Marwaha and Members of Red Cross.
