The leading institution of the Cooperative sector of Punjab, Markfed has initiated the campaign to ensure a cleaner and greener environment as per the instructions of the Cooperation Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa thus giving impetus to the dream project of the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. The Markfed has decided to plant 550 saplings in each of its units dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The initiative was begun today by the Managing Director of Markfed at Agro Chemical plant at Mohali.Mr. Roojam divulged that every officer was given time frame till 31st July, 2019 in a meeting of the all District level officers as well as General Managers held recently and presided over by the Chairman, Markfed Mr. Amarjit Singh Samra. He also said that this campaign dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji would contribute majorly towards a more greener surroundings. He also added that the fruit plants would be planted at the Workshops, Godowns and Branch Offices of the Markfed.Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included Additional Managing Director Mr. Bal Mukand Sharma, Senior Manager Mr. MPS Brar, Senior Accounts Officer Mrs. Damanpreet Kaur, Superintendent Mr. Sarabjit Singh Bajwa, Deputy General Manager of the plant and all officers as well as personnel.
