On the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyait, a kids day care center has been started at the first floor of District Administrative Complex for the children of officers and employees working here.Inaugurating the center with ADC G Mr Rajdeep Singh Brar, GA Mr Navdeep Kumar and District Program Officer Mrs Avinash Kaur Walia, Mrs Apneet Riyait stated that the center has been started to facilitate women officers and employees who have children but no one at home to care for the kids in their mother's absence. Women can leave their children at center while they work.To make the center interesting for children, it has been decked up with colorful and educational toys for different age groups. She added that cots and beds will also be added to the center to provide kids a place where they can rest too.GA Mr Navdeep Kumar added that cupboards and more toys too will be added to the center.Today children from various anganwari centers have visited the kids day care center.
