Deputy Commissioner Launched District Credit Plan of 7583 crores

District Consultative Committee of Lead Bank Office, Punjab National Bank meets today under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan at District Administrative  Complex, Sector 76 to review the progress of the Banks for the quarter ending March 2019. This meeting was attended by ADC (G) Mrs. Sakshi Sawhney, ADC (D) Amardeep  Singh Bains, Circle Head PNB Patiala Mr. S.K. Thapar and Chief LDM Mohali Mr. Darshan Sandhu.On this Occassion Mr. Dayalan has launched District Credit Plan for the year  2019-20 of SAS Nagar district. This Plan envisages credit disbursal of Rs.7583.56 crore out of which Rs.6100 crore has been reserved for Priority Sector lending. Deputy  Commissioner also advised to Bankers to clear the pendency of cases within a week under Govt. sponsored Schemes such as Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program  (PMEGP), Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) & Dairy etc. He also stressed upon sanction of standup India loans at least two  cases per branch by banks to increase the credit flow/loan in the district.During the meeting the officials disclosed that the district has surpassed the Priority Sector target 46.23%  against the national goal of 40%. The Credit Deposit Ratio improved 67.87% against the national goal of 60%. Under Prime Minister Mudra Yojna, 15573 benficiaries have been  sanctioned loan upto March 31, 2019. Under Pardhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY), 98318 & Pardhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna (PMJJBY)–33549 beneficiaries  had been covered upto March 31, 2019.DDM NABARD Mr. Sanjeev Sharma discussed about Dairy Entrepreneurship Development (DEDs) scheme and Rural Infrastructure  Development Fund (RIDF).
