Vigilance Nabs PSPCL SDO, Je For Taking Bribe Rs. 25,000/-

State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a SDO and JE of PSPCL red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 25,000.Disclosing this an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said Randhir Singh SDO and Jagtar Singh JE, both posted at PSPCL Apra Sub Division, Jalandhar have been nabbed red handed on the complaint of Harjinder Singh, resident of Phillaur, district Jalandhar.He added that the complainant has approached the VB and informed that his harvester combine has got collided with the electricity poles holding transformer. After the incident the JE was threatening him and demanding bribe of Rs. 25,000 to connect the main supply line and to take back complaint from police against him.  The Spokesman informed that after verifying his information the Vigilance team laid a trap and both the accused were caught red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs.25,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses. He said a case has been registered against both the accused at Vigilance Bureau Police Station, Jalandhar and further investigation was under progress.
