The Delhi Metro's Yellow Line, that runs between Huda City Centre in Gurugram to Samaypur Badli, faced a technical snag on Tuesday that led to delay in services for two hours.According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the snag occurred at the Chattarpur station at 9.30 a.m. Services resumed after 11.30 a.m.Following the snag, the DMRC said in a series of tweets: "There is a delay in service between Udyog Bhawan and Huda City Centre, and between Samaypur Badli and Huda City Centre on the Yellow Line. Normal service is on at all other lines."Train services will be run in loops temporarily between Huda City Centre and Sultanpur, and between Samaypur Badli and Qutub Minar."According to a DMRC official, the cause of the snag is being probed. The delay caused panic among commuters especially in between Qutub Minar and Sultanpur.A number of videos also went viral on the social media showing commuters walking on the tracks to reach nearest metro stations.A commuter, Govind Singh said: "We did not understand the cause of the delay. I pressed the emergency button and asked the driver to open the doors so that we could walk on the emergency side of the track."

Another commuter, Srinivasa Rao said: "Luckily the snag occurred on an elevated track. If it was in a tunnel, we would have no options than to stay inside."The Yellow Line has the longest tunnel between the Qutub Minar and Vishwa Vidyalaya metro stations.Following the snag, app-based taxi service operators immediately doubled their rates."I had to reach my office located at Nirman Bhawan and my nearest station is Udyog Bhawan. I paid Rs 200 to reach the Saket metro station from Sultanpur," said commuter Nilima Sharma.Auto drivers also hiked the rates."I paid Rs 175 to reach the Ghitorni metro station from Qutab Minar," said Kavita Sharma, who works in Cyber City."
