Kullu's Largest traditional dance gets space in India Book of Records

Mega Nati organized today inthe historic Rath Maidan of Kullu was inducted into India Book of Records. In Mahanati, about 5250 women participated in traditional costume from every corner of the district. District Election Officer Yunus was the Chief Guest whereas General Election Observer Manoj Joshi witnessed the show as special guest.Mahanati got space in India Book of Records after fulfilling the necessary criteria. The team led by Vishwadeep Roy chawdhry Prakash Chaudhary from India Book of Records closely recorded the required standards and ultimately formally announced Mega Nati to be included in the India Book of Records.  District Election Officer Yunus Provided the certificate of intent.Vishwadip Rai said that this attempt was all about the largest traditional dance holding voter ID cards to cheish the Mahaparv of Loktantra where the citizens exercise power by voting. He said that India Book of Records was affiliated to Asia Book of Records and follows Asian Protocol of records.Roy said that this attempt falls under the category ‘mass attempts’ with India Book of Records. For a successful attempt with the India Book of Records, the minimum criterion requires at least 4,000 dancers to perform traditional dance while holding their voter ID cards. While announcing an attempt outcome, he said the record for organizing the largest traditional dance with voter cards to celebrate the ‘Mahaparv of Loktantra” was set by District Election Officer Kullu Yunus at Rath Ground Dhalpur Kullu today.

Yunus said that this mega nati delivered effective message for voting. He said  though it was a daunting task to increase voting percentage in view of the geographical conditions of the district, but we do not want to leave any stone unturned. He said that SVEEP activities had been started in the district on the theme 'Asa Ra Vote, As Ra adhikar'.He also administered election oath on this occasion. He urged all women folk to come out of their houses to exercise their voting right on 19th May, 2019 alongwith all voters of the family. He said that similar Nati was organized in Banjar Assembly Constituency on 6th May where more than 2200 women participated to spread the message on voting. He said women Maha naties will also be performed in Ani and Manali in near future.Election Icon of the district Rishita and Payal Thakur  also gave a message of voting on this occasion. welcomed the Chief Minister and all the women. He also Prior to this, highlighted sweeping activities in the district briefly.Nodal Officer and District Young Coordinator Dr. Lal Singh proposed a vote of thanks.Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri, Additional District Magistrate Akshay Sood, SDM Anurag Chandra Sharma, Chairman of District SVEEP  Core Committee Dr. Amit Gularia, Tehsildar Election Chuni Lal, Assistant Commissioner S.P. Jaswal were also present among others.
