On 20thApril 2019, at about 0700 hrs, “Dikshant Parade “(Passing Out Parade) of 249 batchBasic RecruitConstables comprising of 163 recruits took place at the parade ground of Subsidiary training centerBorder Security Force, Kharkan Camp Hoshiarpur (Punjab).These RecruitConstables took oath to serve the nation with full dedication.Shri Mahipal Yadav, IPS,IG FTR HQ ,Jalandhar (Punjab) reviewed the parade as Chief guest. Shri Kamal Bhagat, 2IC (Offg.Comdt) STC BSF Kharkan Punjab conducted the visit programme of the Chief Guest.
The batch had representation from major states of India as per following details:
Assam-04, Manipur-01, Bihar-12 ,Gujrat-01, Haryana-03 ,Himachal Pradesh-01,Jammu & Kashmir-05 , Karnataka-54, Kerala-03,Madhay Pradesh-01,Maharastra-03,Punjab-01,Rajasthan-31, Tamilnadu-01, Tripura-01, Uttarpradesh-18, West Bengal-09, Uttarakhand-03, Andhra Pradesh-01, Chattishgarh-01, Jharkhand-09 Total-163 .These recruitsConstables have undergone 44 weeks of tough Basic Recruit Training which include subjects on Weapon handlingTactics, Drill, BorderSurveillance, DisasterManagement, First Aid, Searching&Frisking, Combat Training, Human Rights, Gender Sensitivity and Sports Activities etc to make them perfect for facing all types of conditions efficiently.MahipalYadav, IPS, IG FTR, HQ, Jalandhar (Punjab) appreciated the efforts put in by trainers and awarded top position holders in various fields.The Chief Guest exhorted the recruit constable to be honest and fully committed in border management and internal security duties so that they can keep the flag of Border Security Force as well as nation flying high.
