Hundreds of the protesting employees including their children assembled at Partap Park Srinagar and registered their protest. The employees were protesting under the banner of Kashmir PHE Employees Association led by its president Sajad Ahmed Parray."By holding our salaries the government has made us suffer on daily basis," said Sajad Parray.“We have been protesting against the delay in our salaries from the past many months. But nobody is concerned about it," they said. The protestors threatened to intensify protests in case their demand is not met forthwith."Our wages have been withheld for past 22 months. We are at the verge of starvation. Our children have been asked at the schools to clear fee or else sit at home," they said. They accused the authorities of acting indifferent to their plight.
