I Challenge the industry to bring up their problems to the surface, our students will give robust solutions in just 36-hours. Let’s not wait for Germany, USA and Japan to share solutions, said Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe , Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) while delivering his address during feedback session of Nation-wide Smart India Hackathon-2019 at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran. The college has been selected 1 amongst 8 centres pan India for the feedback session. Dr. Anil talked about the 3 decade long journey of AICTE which has now culminated into generating industry-ready professionals. While delivering a technology oriented speech to remove Lacunae between education and industry he said, “AICTE and MHRD’s Innovation cell are going to rank universities and colleges on the basis of their innovative achievements. I encourage colleges and Universities to give extra credits to the students who come up with innovative solutions of the real-time problems prevalent in our society”.

The feedback session was organised by MHRD’s innovation cell and AICTE to seek valuable suggestions, queries and other inputs from over 600 engineering students from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.  Students took active participation and various suggestions like increasing judgement time, equal number of teams at all nodal centres, specifying selection criterion and digital certifications were offered by the students. 15 projects were also displayed by the students to the dignitaries who visited the campus of CGC Landran.Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman CGC and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said, “Shoring up the quality of education by inculcating inter-disciplinary approach, communication skills, Team work, problem-solving ability and leadership qualities, Smart India Hackathon is a great platform to give impetus to research and innovation. We are honoured to host it consecutively for the 3rd time”
