Work on laying six roads in Budhlada is going on in full swing. Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyat visited the area to review the ongoing works and met the executing agencies. She directed that all the material used in construction works should be duly lab tested to maintain the quality of material used.She directed the officers and executing agencies to complete the work in time. The ITI Chowk to gas agency turn road stretch is being repaired. Similarly, stretch of road from Truck Union to K K Gaur Chowk and from K K Gaur Chowk to Sri Guru Nanak College. Railway CC Road is being repaired and 60 mm inter locking tiles are being added to its sides. Road stretch from Fuwara Chowk to Kulana Chowk is also being repaired. Besides this the Bhikhi-Budhlada-Ratia Road is being upgraded.Deputy Commissioner Miss Apneet Riyat visited Guru Nanak College Budhlada where she interacted with the girl students on issue of gender equality. Motivating the girls to do their best she said that there was no work that women could not do. "Women should remain steadfast to their goals and work towards achieving the same, she added.She also visited Government Girls Senior Secondary School at Budhlada where Patricia from France and Victoria from Scotland have donated water cooler to the school students. She thanked Patricia and Victoria for their noble gesture and said that more such people should come forward towards building better community.SDM Budhlada Mr Aditya Dhachwal, tehsildar Jagtar Singh, EO Budhlada nagar council Mr Vijay Kumar and others were also present.
