Governor Acharya Devvrat honoured Aprajita Chandel, who topped the Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) examinations at Raj Bhawan today, under a special campaign of the 'Amar Ujala' group of newspaper in the name of ‘Aprajita’ for women empowerment. Editor of Amar Ujala Rakesh Bhatt, was also present on this occasion.The Governor congratulated Aprajita Chandel for her success and wished good luck for her future endeavours. He said that women are moving forward in every area of development, which is a positive sign for the progress of the society.He said that the campaign, started by the Amar Ujala has encouraged the girls to move ahead and was also a guiding force to others.Advisor to the Governor Dr. Shashikant Sharma, family members of Aprajita Chandel and others were also present on the occasion.
