Directorate Youth Services Punjab today organised a District Level youth festival at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology Phase-2 SAS Nagar. Sub Divisional Magistrate (Mohali) Jagdeep Saigal was the chief guest of the occasion.Addressing the youth, Rupinder Kaur, Assistant Director Youth Services Punjab relived her memories of her college days, while also lauding the tradition of youth festivals as events harnessing the hidden talents of students. She inspired all the teams to perform well in next sessions of this distinguished competition. Assistant Professor of Gian Jyoti Institute Jagvinder Thakur proudly mentioned the college’s association with Directorate Youth Services Punjab to promote the cultural activities in students.The results of Bhangra Competitions saw Youth Club Phase 9 secured first position followed by Youth Club 3b1 on the second rank and Youth Club Phase 11 on the third spot. In Gidha, Mai Bhago Youth Club Mohali secured the first position and Chandigarh University Gharuan on second spot in Gidha competition. Youth Club DAAR takes first position in Folk Song, Jagdeep Kaur CGC Landran secured first spot in Traditional Dress Competition and Youth Club Phase 3B1 takes first position in the competition of Lok Saaz.Other dignitaries who were present on this ocassion are Director Gian Jyoti College Jaswant singh Bedi, Dr. Neeza Central State Librarian, Mrs. Sukhjeet Kaur Grewal, Incharge Heritage and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur Mann, Dean Culture. Tehsildar Mohali Ms. Sukhpinder Kaur was the chief guest on first day of this festival.
