The Punjab Government would organise a state level function on 28th February, 2019 at DAV University, Jalandhar to handover appointment letters to the Youth selected for various Jobs during the 4th State level Mega Job fairs. The Technical Education & Employment Generation Minister, Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi held a review meeting regarding the arrangements for the state level function here today with the senior officials of the concerned departments.The Minister said that the fourth round of Mega Job fairs was organised from 13 to 22 February at various places across the state. He said that during this phase along with Technical Education Department, the ‘Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission’ played an important role in making this event a big success, as 50000 youth got placed during this phase of Mega Job Fairs. '' More than 60% youth of the state who participated during 4th Mega Job Fairs got placed in various private companies", said Mr. Channi. The Minster further said that with such constructive initiatives, the Punjab Government has built a bond of trust between the employer and the job seekers. Therefore, more and more companies are registering with the Punjab Government for providing jobs to the youth of Punjab. He said that youth of Punjab have also got a single platform where they can upload his qualifications for seeking a job. He elaborated that the Punjab Government has filled the gap between the job seeker and the employer by providing them a common platform.The Minister also said that due to the success of the Job Fairs organised by the Punjab Government the others including BJP led states are also emulating this pattern to provide jobs to the youth. He also said that job fairs in the state would continue on this pattern and 5th Round of Mega Job Fairs would be held soon. Prominent amongst others present in the meeting included Mr. D.K.Tewari Principal Secretary Technical Education and Industrial Training, Mr. Rahul Tewari Commissioner -cum- Director Employment Generation, Mr. Parveen Thind Director Technical Education, Mr. Dilraj Singh STC, Mr. Kulwant Singh ADC Jalandhar, Ms.Rajdeep Kaur Deputy Director Employment Generation and other officials of the Technical Education & Employment Generation Department.
