Student Entrepreneurship Cell at Lovely Professional University organized its 3rd annual "Indian Entrepreneurship Congress (IE-Con) 2019”, where top entrepreneurs stimulated thousands of LPU students to think big, adopt entrepreneurial career and learn to convert their ideas into society needed sellable products. On this occasion, LPU also organized ‘Idea Pitching Competition’ for best entrepreneurial plan where students from across the country could win grand prize of ‘Two Million US Dollars (about 14 Crore Indian Rupees). From Padma Shri Dr Nitin Pandey, Chairman & MD Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Associate Director KPMG Sahil Nayyar, Padwoman of India Maya Vishwakarma to many other CEOs, Founders, Consultants, Specialists were specifically present to inspire students through their experiences and acquisitions. The entrepreneurship summit proved to be a lifetime experience for students, when they listened to the successful journey of entrepreneurs with many ups and downs. Students also interacted with visiting entrepreneurs to know all about how they are going on with their ideas now. Opening the inaugural session, Padma Shri Dr N K Pandey, Chairman & MD Asian Institute of Medical Sciences took several examples from his initial humble and hardworking life and motivated students to think big & positive. Appreciating the study environ at LPU, Dr Pandey shared: “As in China, we need institutes like LPU in India to make students convert their ideas into products.” Talking about ‘nano-robos’, he informed that reaching to the pin-point with minimum dosage, these will help in avoiding any surgery or any damage to cells. He also asked students to even get ready for creating lab oriented agricultural produce. 

Associate Director KPMG, Sahil Nayyar shared that young entrepreneurs should learn to adapt to changing scenarios. He informed that life is not a hundred meter race, it is a marathon, learn to run and win it by putting in the best values. Director Khalsa Aid Amarpreet Singh asked students to stretch their mind to be problem solver on humane lines, irrespective of any caste, creed, and nationality. Managing Partners ‘HUMhain’ startup, Arsh Narula & Hardik Dutta (winner of last season best plan award) said to go for unique project and that, too, to help the society.Addressing on ‘Lessons for Entrepreneurs’, Padwoman Maya Vishwakarma asked students to appreciate the significant impact that clinical laboratory work can make in a developing society. Similarly in ‘Panel Discussion: Investors Eye’ session, Founder and CEO Green Capital Nitin Shadher; Founder Lead Angels Sushanto Mitra; Managing Partner Venture Garage, Sanjay Kapoor; Founder Expand my Business Rohan Raj Barua, CEO Angel Investor Hitesh Verma and other participated for guidance of the students. All of them were also at the helm of judging panel for this competition. Various student teams from different states of the country pitched their ideas including ‘ENVIRO TECH’ from Delhi which has been declared as the winner of this season. This project is of Parth Dave, which is about ‘smart bins that simplify the recycling practices’. In fact, Indian Entrepreneurship congress proved a kind of festival at the campus, where the spirit of Entrepreneurship was celebrated to the full by the visitors and the students alike.
