Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today called upon the youth to come forward for thwarting the nefarious attempts of anti-national forces to pose any threat to sovereignty of our country.Addressing the gathering during a peace walk organized by the Dainik Jagran group here today to pay tributes to security personnel killed during Pulwama attack, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that youth must play a pivotal role by joining hands to defeat all those forces who were trying to disrupt peace, amity and brotherhood in the country. They said that the inhuman terror attack on the security forces at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir must be condemned by one and all. They expressed hope that the security forces would give an apt reply to the perpetrators of this heinous crime.Paying floral tributes to the soldiers martyred in this attack, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that the entire country was highly indebted to these brave hearts for laying down their lives and thwarting the dastardly act of terrorism, which could have jeopardized our nation’s security beyond anyone’s imagination.
They said that these brave sons of the soil have upheld the glorious tradition of self sacrifice and valour inherited from our great martyr and patriots, who made supreme sacrifices for the sake of our country since time immemorial. They said that every countryman was proud over the gallantry deeds of these valiant sons of motherland, who foiled the nefarious designs of foreign intruders.In his address, Editor of Punjabi Jagran Newspaper Mr. Varinder Singh Walia also lauded the immense contribution made by the soldiers in safeguarding the borders of the country.
