District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, today flagged off Horticulture tour for 22 farmers of the district under PMKSY.ADDC Abdul Hamid and other senior officers were present on the occasion.Duirng the tour, the farmers drawn from Mendhar, Surankote and Mandi will visit Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Jammu.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the aim of the programme was to acquaint farmers with the latest technologies in horticulture. He impressed upon the farmers to make optimum use of this opportunity so as to make Poonch district self-reliant in horticulture production.District Agriculture Officer G S Kapoor besides officials of the department were also present on the occasion.
