Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday conferred awards upon various districts of State for their remarkable performance in different sectors including Education, Health, Industry, Agriculture, Law and Order etc during The State of The State conclave organised here by India Today Group.Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Sharma was bestowed upon award for Best District for Overall Performance and Deputy Commissioner Pathankot Rambir for Most Improved District in Overall Performance across the state. Divulging details, a Spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Captain Amarinder Singh honoured Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar for Best District in Education and Deputy Commissioner Amaritsar Kamaldeep Singh Sangha for Most Improved District in education.The Chief Minister awarded Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Isha Kalia for Best District in Health and Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur Vipul Ujjwal for Most Improved District in this sector. Deputy Commissioner Barnala Dharampal awarded for Best District in Water & Sanitation and Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Ryat for Most Improved District in this sector while Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Sharma for Best District in Infrastructure and Deputy Commissioner Fazillka Manpreet Singh for Most Improved District in this sector.
Deputy Commissioner Pathankot Rambir for both categories of Best District and Most Improved District in Law and Order. Likewise, Deputy Commissioner Patiala Kumar Amit got award for Special Mention Law and Order and Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Pradeep Aggarwal for Best District In Agriculture. Similarly, Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar Mohali Gurpreet Sapra for Most Improved District in Agriculture.The Chief Minister also honoured Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mohammad Tayyab for Best District in Services and Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Ghanshyam Thori for Most Improved District in Services sector. Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar Gurpreet Sapra and Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal for Best District and Most Improved District in Prosperity sector respectively. Deputy Commissioner Fatehgarh Sahib S.S. Dhillon received award for Best District in Industry and Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Pradeep Aggarwal for Most Improved District in Industry whereas Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Balwinder Singh got award for Best District in Special Mention Most Improved District Overall.
