Khelo India Youth Games : Punjab crowned Overall Champion in Shooting U-21

Till now, 57 medals in Punjab’s kitty including 19 Gold, 15 Silver & 23 Bronze

The shooters from Punjab have done the State proud in the ‘Khelo India Youth Games’ currently underway at Pune. In the U-21 category of shooting, Punjab has been crowned Overall Champion. Today, the state bagged 4 medals with the inclusion of 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze, all in the U-21 category of shooting. With this, the count of the medals won by Punjab has gone upto 57 which comprises of 19 Gold, 15 Silver and 23 Bronze. This was disclosed today by the State Sports Manager of Punjab in the ‘Khelo India Games’ Mr. Gurlal Singh Riar.Mr. Riar further said that Gurnihal Singh Garcha won Gold medal in the U-21 Skeet Shooting event while Simran won the Silver in U-21 Skeet Shooting event. Another shooter Abhay Singh Sekhon won Bronze in U-21 while in the Air Pistol Mixed Team event of U-21 category, Arjun Singh Cheema and Pardeep Kaur also bagged bronze.
