Delegations of various associations call on O.P. Soni

Delegations of various associations today called on Punjab Education Minister O.P. Soni. Assuring them fulsome support from government side, the  minister said that there all legitimate demands will be fulfilled soon. Delegation of Karate Do Association Punjab under the leadership of Chairman  Sports Cell Parmod Bhatia and State President Ravind Kaushik demanded that the Union Government's sports grant under RMSA has been pending  since long, due to which children are facing difficulties in preparing for games. Leaders informed that they are teaching self-defense techniques to  children in government schools of the state but now this training has been confined to five days after the letter from the DGSE to the school teachers,  due to which teachers will have to face difficulties and the coaches will also be unemployed.After carefully listening to the demands, Mr. Soni assured  that he will discuss the matter with union government and sports grant would be released soon. He also assured to review the decision about timings of  self-defense besides accepting other legitimate demands.The delegation included General Secretary of the Association Sukhdev Singh, Secretary  General Parkash Kumar, District President Jagjit Singh, Ludhiana District President Rakesh Kalyan and District President Faridkot Amandeep Singh.

Meanwhile, a delegations of Punjab Teachers and Education Welfare Association and Revised Result PSTET-1 organizations also met the minister and  apprised about their demands. Minister assured that there problems would be resolved soon.
