The J&K Co-ordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) on Tuesday held a protest rally at Partap Park Srinagar in support of two days national strike of central trade unions and employees federations especially by All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF).The protest rally was attended by hundreds of employees and workers including a large number of women employees.Mohammad Maqbool National Secretary AISGEF and president JKCCTU while addressing rally said that the present government has created “havoc” and the entire people especially working class are facing severe crises. He said divisive and disruptive communal policies have posed the biggest challenge to secular fabric and these policies need to be fought tooth and nail to safeguard the hard-earned rights of the working people and to uphold the unity by isolating communal forces. He also criticized the present Governor’s administration which has “failed” to deliver and address the burning issue of employees and workers despite tall claims and urged the working class to intensify the struggle in coming days.
