World’s largest Five-Day Science Spectacle ‘106th ISC-2019’ concluded at Lovely Professional University (Punjab)

World’ largest five-day science spectacle and congregation ‘106th ‘Indian Science Congress (ISC)-2019’ concluded at Lovely Professional University (Punjab) today. The event gained magnanimity due to gracious presence of Prime Minister of India, 4 Union Cabinet Ministers, Governor Punjab, State Minister, 3 Nobel Laureates and persona of nobility from diverse sectors all across India and the globe. During five days, significant lectures, from Nobel Laureates;  20 Plenary Sessions; and, several sectional symposia with top authorities from DRDO, ISRO, DST, ICAR, CSIR, ICMR, AICTE, NAAC, UGC, ISCA, the USA, UK Universities and more, awakened 30,000+ participants for novel scientific happenings. All delegates & visitors rejoiced the best of science and related affairs at the event, which proved as the most successful showcase, hitherto, in defining the aim of the massive science pageant. The whole of the event, indeed, played a vital role in stimulating scientific research effort and raising the scientific temperament in the country and the world. During concluding ceremony, 37 awardees in the categories of Young Scientists, Best Posters and Pride of India-Science Exhibition were honoured. The event at LPU, which commenced with lighting of ‘Vigyan Jyot’, the same “Jyot” has been handed over to General President Dr Manoj Chakrabarti for organization of next 107th ISC. 

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal expressed his happiness on successful organization of the foremost scientific event of the world, which interests national as well international scientific community. Thanking ISCA Council Members, especially General President, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) 2019, Dr Manoj Kumar Chakrabarti and Prof Ashok Saxena, for reposing faith in LPU for conduction of ISC-2019. He also congratulated all LPU team members who devotedly performed their duties in the nicest possible way. Prior to this, Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal informed all that the mega event proved a stellar success and provided a great exposure to all at LPU.While making concluding remarks of the event, General President, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) 2019, Dr Manoj Kumar Chakrabarti highlighted that 106th edition of ISC at LPU provided the best platform up till now to exchange ideas and innovations among scientists gathered from across the world. Invoking all he said: “Keep on fostering a spirit of togetherness to move forward with newer ideas for making nation progress with leaps and bounds.” Thanking LPU for launching a mobile app to help all visitors at the meet, Time Capsule, Magna Robot, Driverless Solar powered Car and more, he also shared: “It is indeed a great pleasure and pride for me that the 106th session of ISCA is held at beautiful LPU campus with state of art infrastructural facilities. I believe that LPU has set new benchmarks in hosting the meet that it will prove a challenge to others for accessing to the same. More than fifteen thousand delegates participated at this largest scientific meet and enjoyed the great hospitality of LPU in all forms and manners, more than that seen during 106 years of its existence.” He also applauded the invaluable contribution of Indian Scientists and all at different events of ISC-2019, particularly the scientific temperament of people of Punjab who revealed great enthusiasm for huge participation.
