The tenth Jan Manch was organised successfully in the ten districts of the state, however, the programme was not held in tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti due to bad weather conditions. Around 2125 demands and complaints were received in today’s Jan Manch and most of them were disposed off on the spot.

Una district 

In Una district, the Jan Manch was organised at Jol in Chintpurani assembly segment which was chaired by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister Kishan Kapoor. He said that Jan Manch has become an effective mode to aware the people about government schemes and settle their grievances. He said 80 percent complaints received under Jan Manch so far have been redressed, which is a great achievement.The Minister distributed 71 LPG connections to the beneficiaries and other certificates.As many as 299 complaints and demands were received during the Jan Manch.

Shimla district

Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj presided over the Jan Manch at Ghanahti in Shimla Rural constituency in which 159 demands and complaints were received and most of them were settled on the spot. Suresh Bhardwaj said that the state government has taken several initiatives to provide best health care facility to the citizens. Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana has been launched to provide free LPG connections to the beneficiary women who have not been covered under the Ujjwala scheme of the government of India.He provided LPG connections to the beneficiaries, FDs to the girls under Beti Hai Anmol scheme and various other certificates on this occasion.

Mandi district

While chairing the Jan Manch at Saiglu in Mandi Sadar Assembly constituency, Power Minister Anil Sharma said that a drinking water supply scheme amounting to Rs. 45 crores has been approved through the BRICS for Tungal area of the constituency which would cover more than five panchayats.During the programme, 77 complaints and 225 demands were received out of which maximum were settled on the spot.Various cases of pension, Aadhar card, ration cards, vehicle licences, disability certificates were sanctioned on the occasion besides providing LPG connections and FDs under Beti Hai Anmol scheme.MP Ramswroop Sharma was also present o this occasion.

Chamba district

In Chamba district, Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary presided over the function at Sadal in Bhatiyat assembly constituency of Chamba district. She directed to take steps in the direction of renewal of gun licence and ensuing that names, address and contact numbers of the applicants are mentioned with their complaints.She distributed various certificates and FDs under Beti Hai Anmol scheme to the beneficiaries.Around 150 demands and complaints were received during the Jan Manch.Local MLA Vikram Jaryal was also present on the occasion.

Solan District

Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda, who chaired the function at gram panchayat Patta Bariyan in Doon assembly segment of Solan district said that the work of settlement of various gram panchayats under sub-tehsil Krishangarh would be completed soon. He also directed for starting HRTC bus service on Nalagarh-Ramshahar via Bhyunhri. He said that Jan Manch is not a political forum and grievances of all the people are being redressed on priority.MP Virender Kashyap and MLA, Doon Paramjeet Singh Pammi also spoke on the occasion.314 complaints and demands were received during today’s Jan Manch. Various types of certificates were issued to the people and more than 600 people were examined in the Allopathic and Ayurveda health camps.

Hamirpur District

Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar chaired the Jan Manch at Byad in Badsar assembly segment of Hamirpur district. He said that this initiative of the state government has provided much needed respite to the people and so far more than 20,000 complaints have been redressed.As many as 87 complaints related to drinking water, power, roads, health, revenue etc. were presented during the Jan Manch while 56 complaints were received before out of which 46 were disposed off on the spot. More than 400 people were examined in the medical camps and free medicines were also distributed. The Health Minister distributed FDs to ten girls and 120 LPG connections to eligible women. 

Bilaspur District

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar presided over the function held in Sri Naina Devi constituency of Bilaspur district. He said that Jan Manch has motivated the people to take benefits of various welfare schemes launched by the state government.In all, 305 demands and complaints were received during and pre-Jan Manch out of which 181 have been disposed off.FDR to 95 illegible girls were issued on the occasion besides identifying 1053 new cases of various social security pensions.Local MLA Ram Lal Thakur and former MLA Randhir Sharma were also present on this occasion.

Kangra District

In Kangra district, the Jan Manch was held at Bharwar of Nurpur assembly segment which was presided over by Industries Minister Bikram Singh. He urged the people to take maximum benefit of the Jan Manch for redressing their problems and getting benefits of government schemes like Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojana which aims at providing self-employment opportunities to the youth. He said all out efforts would be made to develop Nurpur as industrial hub.The Minister along-with local MLA Rakesh Pathania distributed saplings under ‘Ek Boota Beti Ke Naam’ initiative of the state government.As many as 150 demands and complaints were received during the programme out of which 130 were settled on the spot. Before Jan Manch, 291 cases were received by the district administration and 286 have been disposed off.

Sirmaur District

While presiding over the Jan Manch at Puruwla in Paonta Sahib Assembly segment of Sirmaur district, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal distributed free LPG gas connections to 350 beneficiaries. He also distributed gifts to ten newly borne girl child and FD’s to ten girls under Beti Hai Anmol scheme on this occasion. Various certificates were also given to the people and two patients availed the facility to talk to the specialists of Apollo hospital, Delhi.As many as 144 demands and complaints were received during the function out of which 40 were disposed off on the spot.MLA  Sukhram Chaudhary was also present on the occasion.

Kullu district

In Kullu district, Jan Manch was held at Raison in Manali assembly segment of Kullu district which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Yunus. As many as 127 demands and complaints were received during the programme out of which 105 were disposed off on the spot.Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur addressed the people present in the Jan Manch through video conferencing.Ten girls were provided FD of Rs. 10,000 each and 244 women were given free LPG under Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojana.
