The Panjab University is a pride of the nation, which has given eminent economists, academicians, scientists, doctors and politicians to the country.These were the words of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana K.P. Singh who was the chief guest of the five-day 34th North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival which concluded at the Law Auditorium of PU here today.Addressing the youth as the future of the country, he asked them to take the country further on the path of progress by following the footsteps of the great leaders who had steered the country from the chains of slavery, poverty and backwardness to enable India the world power.Recalling his student days, he called them momentous and said that youth festivals were colourful phases of university life.He congratulated the Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University Prof. Raj Kumar and Organising Secretary Mr. Nirmal Jaura and others for successfully conducting this event. Rana KP Singh also felicitated the winners of the youth festival. He encouraged the winners to keep moving forward.
