District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today visited Kralpora to review the pace and progress of developmental works undertaken in the area.While inspecting the new building of SDH Kralpora, the DDC directed the concerned authorities to speed up the pace of work to make it functional at the earliest for the benefit of local people. He directed the Executive Engineer JKPCC to connect the SDH with the grid station and establish an emergency line for dedicated supply of power.The DDC also inspected the Kralpora bridge being constructed under languishing projects programme and urged the concerned agency to gear up the pace of work on the bridge to throw it open for public use at the earliest.He also suggested construction of a motorable bridge as an alternative and directed concerned BDO to prepare the estimate immediately so that it could be considered on priority.Later, the DDC inspected Health and Wellness Centre Shaloora and reviewed its functioning. He issued on the spot directions to the concerned BDO for construction of fencing wall and improvements in aesthetics.The DDC also visited Children's Park and asked the concerned to make it functional.He also inspected various works executed by PDD under Centrally Sponsored Saubhagya Scheme and directed the Exen PDD to complete all the works in Kralpora within 10 days and furnish the action taken report.The DDC also directed concerned BDO for preparing the estimate for construction of Daramshala for devotees at Trehgam.Meanwhile, the DDC urged the local people to take maximum benefits from Schemes meant for their welfare.
