DPRs will be prepared within stipulated time period : Jai Ram Thakur

Presides over MLA priority meeting of Chamba, Una, Hamirpur and Lahaul-Spiti districts

While presiding over the afternoon session of the MLAs priorities meeting with the MLAs of Chamba, Una, Hamirpur and Lahaul-Spiti districts here today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said it would be ensured that the detailed project reports (DPRs) for various developmental projects are prepared within a stipulated time.He said that immediately after completing one year in office, the state government has started planning for the next year. He said that this one year has been an eventful journey which has seen some major welfare steps taken by the government. He said that the State was fortunate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the one year celebrations of the state government at Dharamshala.The Chief Minister said that the 'Swarnim Dristhipatra' of the BJP has been adopted as the policy document of the state government. He said that in order to generate resources for the State, the government prepared a few developmental projects in different sectors and succeeded in getting projects worth Rs. 9689 crore sanctioned for the State. A Quality Control Cell has been set up in the Chief Minister’s office.He thanked all the MLAs for their valuations suggestions. He said that in the financial year 2018-19, implementation of several welfare schemes were ensured for the development of the State. He said that if necessary, the government would consider outsourcing the process of preparing DPR for greater efficiency.

District Chamba

MLA from Bharmour Jiya Lal said that the work on construction of road to Punto village should be expedited and HRTC Depot at Pangi should be strengthened by increasing the fleet of buses. He also urged to develop the area from tourism point of view.MLA, Bhatiyat Bikram Singh Jaryal said that additional budget should be provided for hard areas for development of infrastructure keeping in view its difficult topography. He urged to construct the building of Government Medical College Chamba and construction of building to house a few health institutions running in private building. 

District Una

MLA, Chintpurani Balbir Singh demanded to give status of Nagar Parishad to Amb. He also urged for construction of bus stand at Amb. He said that efforts should be made to promote farming of Anjeer in the area.MLA, Gagret Rajesh Thakur said that adequate funds should be made available for construction of tubewells in Gagret area. He urged for expediting work on various developmental works in his constituency and opening of ESI hospital in his constituency besides construction of worker's hostel in his constituency.MLA, Haroli Mukesh Agnihotri said that the limit of NABARD for each constituency should be increased from the existing ceiling of Rs. 90 crore as this is hampering the development of the areas. He said that adequate funds should be provided for Swan river Channelisation project in Una district. He also stressed the need to provide better rail and air connectivity in the State. He also requested the Chief Minister to increase MLA fund as well as MLA discretionary fund.MLA, Una Satpal Raizada said that adequate funds be provided for ongoing projects in his constituency.

District Hamirpur

MLA, Bhoranj Kamlesh Kumari thanked the Chief Minister of launching Grihini Suvidha Yojana for the women of the State. She said that about 60 kms roads had been metelled in her constituency during this period. She also urged to start bus service from Ahwadevi to Chandigarh.MLA, Sujanpur Rajinder Rana said that Town Hall should be constructed at Sujanpur at the earliest and efforts should be made for beautification of Sujanpur Tihra ground. He said that 33 KV Sub Station should set up to solve voltage problem in few areas of his constituency. He also urged for opening HRTC depot at Sujanpur and expansion of bus stand at Sujanpur.MLA Hamirpur Narinder Thakur said that bus stand should be constructed at Hamirpur and the left out areas of the Hamirpur town should be brought under sewerage facility. He also requested for enhancement of diet money for the sportspersons and rescheduling holidays in the schools.

MLA, Barsar Inder Dutt Lakhanpal said that sewerage scheme should be provided for Nagar Panchayat Bhota. He said that bus stand be constructed at Mehre so as to avoid congestion. He said that Mini Secretariat should also be constructed at Mehre. He said that FRA clearance be accorded at the earliest for drinking water supply scheme for the constituency.Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anil Kumar Khachi assured that the Finance department would incorporate all the suggestions of the MLAs while planning for the respective areas.Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar, Additional Chief Secretaries Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Manoj Kumar and R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretaries, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners of Chamba, Una, Hamirpur and Lahaul Spiti districts attended the meeting.
