Leading name in Punjab Politics and Member of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr Anumit Hira Sodhi honoured Sonia Gandhi, the former President of Indian National Congress by cutting India's largest birthday cake on 9th December. The cake weighed 71kg and was cut by Anumit at Student Centre, Panjab University.Getting inspired by the footprints of the former leader, Sonia Gandhi and in order to pay her the due respect, Anumit engaged himself in cutting the largest birthday cake in India on her behalf. The cake was cut in the presence of thousands of other Youth Congress office Bearers and Congress activists who came in support of Anumit and to pay their regards to the former president.To make the day more special for the former president, Anumit along with other office bearers went to ‘Chandigarh Blind Home’ to distribute the cake and sweets amongst the kids. The joy of the day escalated with the cheers, wishes and beautiful smiles of children.
Owing to the Birthday celebration of Sonia Gandhi, Anumit Hira Sodhi, Member of PPCC said, “Being an admirer of Sonia Ji, it has been a great honour and a memorable moment for me to cut the cake on her behalf. I’m overwhelmed to be walking on her footsteps for the development of our country and alike her, I try my best to motivate youngsters as they are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today".Being an inspiration for the youth himself, Anumit carries out a lot of motivational activities. He is an enthusiastic personality who aims and always encourages youth to come at the forefront. He firmly believes that "We cannot always build future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future". With the innovative ideas and utmost zeal, Anumit aspires to have maximum participation of today’s generation in politics who crave to bring a positive change in the society.
