DDC Ganderbal reviews implementation of Ayushman Bharat

District Development Commissioner   Dr. Piyush Singla today reviewed the progress of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogi Yojna (PMJAY) here at a meeting.The meeting was attended by ADC, Naseer Ahmad Wani, ACR Nishar Ahmad, SDM Kangan, CMO Ganderbal, BMOs, all Tehsildars of the district and other concerned officers.Threadbare discussions with regard to awareness, mobilization and identifications of beneficiaries, registration, generation of golden cards and other related issues were held in the meeting.On the onset of the meeting, CMO Ganderbal briefed the meeting about the significance of scheme and total beneficiaries covered under the scheme in the district.During the meeting, the CMO informed that several deserving households are not registered in the scheme and several beneficiaries remain untraced.To trace out such households, the DDC directed the Tehsildars to mobilize field functionaries of revenue department including BLOs, lamberdars and Chokidars to trace the unidentified households and beneficiaries at the village level in the whole district at an earliest.While expressing concern over the slow pace of progress of the scheme, the DDC directed the district coordinator of Common Service Centres (CSCs) to upload the details of such deserving beneficiaries within 10 days whose name is not registered in the scheme. Besides the health department was directed to organize camps in every Panchayat Halka for the registration of beneficiaries to ensure that the target is achieved within the stipulated time frame.The DDC stressed the officers to accelerate the process so that the poor and deserving households can get benefit from the scheme.
