District Election Officer, Kulgam Dr Shameem Ahmad Wani today chaired a meeting of EROs, AEROs and representatives of political parties to review the progress of special summary revision of electoral rolls.During the meeting, DDC impressed upon the Electoral Registration officers(EROs) and AERO'S to monitor the progress of enrollments so that all eligible electors are registered in the Electoral Rolls. He urged the officials to widen the inclusion of voters in the voter list and create awareness among the general public regarding democracy at the grassroot level.While reviewing the percentage of inclusions in the roll, the DEO called for expediting the process of updating the Electoral rolls by December 15. He emphasized for implementation of the guidelines of ECI in letter and spirit and said that the cent percent enrollment of the voters in the district should be made so that every eligible voter can get his democratic right.The meeting was informed that the physical verification of electoral rolls and subsequent inclusion and deletion of voters is under process and will be completed soon. DEO directed the concerned to organise special camps at all tehsil headquarters for registration of unregistered voters on 16 December.Present on the occasion were ADDC Khawaja Nazir Ahmad, ADC Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, ACR Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah.
