To make Jalandhar drug free by awakening the residents about the harmful effects of the drugs, the mobile van of health department sensitized the people in Adampur on Thursday.Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bagga said that the van is being run under the anti-drug campaign of the state government to apprise the people about drug menace. Mr. Bagga told that van comprises the officials of the health department who interact with the people and educate them about ill-effects of the drug menace.He stated that the basic motive of running this van is to ensure that the younger generations can be saved from falling in prey of the menace of drugs.He revealed that van would visit Droli Kalan on December 7, Raipur Rasoolpur on December 8, Bilga on December 10, Talwan on December 11, Jamsher on December 12, Raipur Pharala on December 13, Rurka Kalan on December 14, Mehatpur on December 15, Baloki on December 17 and Uggi on December 18. The civil surgeon added that the problem cannot be solved until the people made aware of this curse on our society. He solicited the support of the people to wipe out the drugs from the state.
