Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today flagged off TB checkup /treatment campaign organized by State TB Control Society for active case finding and treatment of the fatal diseases.Officers concerned informed that an awareness vehicle will visit every block of the district from 3rd December to 20 December to find the active cases of TB. They also informed that the well-equipped van with facilities like CBNAAT and other tests will help in on spot checkup during the campaign.During the campaign, awareness would be raised about the disease and its symptoms. Screened people would be made aware of the treatment process which is available for free of cost.Among others, State TB Officer Dr. Kartar Chand, District TB Officer Dr. Kamini Gupta, IEC Officer, Seema Sharma and all STS, STLS, DTC Staff were present.
