Information and Public relations department organises farewell to retired officers

The Department of Information and Public Relations organised a farewell to two of its employees Ganga Ram, Information Officer and Junior Assistant Som Kishan, who retired from the government 30 November, 2018.Information Officer Ganga Ram served the department for more than 33 years on various positions in different districts of the state. Similarly, Som Kishan rendered his services in the department for almost 34 years. Their family members also attended the farewell ceremony. Director, Information and Public Relations Harbans Singh Brascon honoured the both employees with shawl, cap and a memento on this occasion.Speaking on the occasion, Harbans Singh Brascon said that the technology has changed the ways of working, but the old medium of promotion and dissemination of information was not only relevant but also very effective too. He said that even today the welfare schemes and policies of the government are still effectively promoted through street plays and documentaries in rural areas.He asked the officials utilize all available mechanisms and means for the promotion and dissemination of public welfare policies and programs of the government effectively.All officers and employees of the department were present on this occasion.
