A 7 days NSS camp was today inaugurated at Aryans College of Education. The opening ceremony was performed in Panchayat Ghar Vill. Nepra, Tehsil Rajpura . More than 200 villagers including children, young and aged of the village attended the function.Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges while inaugurating the camp, congratulated the students and staff for commendable performance of the NSS unit of the college.
Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, ACE gave a detailed report about the objectives of the camp. She also detailed the achievements of the NSS unit up till now. During the camp, the volunteers will involve themselves in community service and perform tasks like clearing the surroundings, educating the village children, plantation of trees, conducting rallies for creating awareness among the villagers. Various cultural activities will also be held during the camp. Dr. Anshu Kataria remarked that attending such camps gives the students an exposure to a number of things that are not available in normal course of classroom education. He further added that activities in the NSS camp inculcate the spirit of social service in the minds of the Youth. It is a learning process for them and it is a continuous process till the end of life.Also present on the occasion were Prof. A.P. Jain, Director, Aryans Group of Colleges, Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Vice Principal, ACE and faculty members of ACE. It is to be mentioned that Aryans campus is spread over an area of 20 acre lush green land and it is situated in Village Nepra on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, near Chandigarh. The group is running Management College, Engineering College, Education College, Nursing College & Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non Medical).
