Indian culture is based on the ideology of the fairs and through the fairs people gets opportunity to meet each other and the rich cultural traditions of the state are preserved and promoted by such events.This was stated by the Governor Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat while addressing a mass gathering on the concluding day of Six-Day International Shri Renuka ji Fair. He said that Himachal Pradesh is known as Dev Bhoomi in the world and the people of this holy land have incredible reverence and faith attached to deities and they organize fairs in accordance with the ancient traditions and discipline.The governor said that the people of India are the descendants of the sages and our ancestors were great noblemen. He said that we should take inspiration from the ideals of great men. He said that great men like Lord Parshuram took birth on the soil of India for the destruction of asura powers and liberated this land from the asuras. While highlighting the life character of Lord Parshuram, he said that Lord Parshuram was a great warrior and a scholar who had given knowledge of the Vedas to the people walking on its path.The governor said that picture of God should not be worshiped but their character should be worshiped and adopt their ideals in our lives. He said that on the sacred land of India, many Rishi-Munis have given a message of connecting the society with spirituality. He said that Himachal Pradesh has to be made drug free for which all people have to give their creative support only then this mission can be accomplished. He said that it is a matter of concern and contemplation that the younger generation is suffering from various types of intoxication and a campaign has been started in the state to save the youth from the evil of addiction in which all the people will have to ensure their participation.

The Governor, while highlighting the zero-budget natural farming, said that by organizing special camps in different areas of the state, people will be trained on zero farming cultivation. He said that the fertilizer capacity of the land is reduced by chemical fertilizers and farmers do not get much yield of their hard work. He said that Zero budget can be cultivated in 30 acres of land from a native breed cow and people will have to pay more attention to their traditional farming so that by 2022, the state can succeed in making natural farming state.Earlier, Governor, performed havan with Vedic chants for world peace in the ancient temple (Devthi) of Lord Parshuram. Other deities including Lord Parshuram, were give farewell according to tradition.The Governor also viewed the developmental exhibitions installed by various departments in the fair and the officers were rewarded. Department of Ayurveda was awarded first Agriculture department second and the Education Department's exhibition received the third prize.Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur and Chairman Renuka Vikas Board Lalit Jain welcomed all the guests including the Governor and thanked all the non, governmental local public and various organizations for their support in organizing the fair. He said that more than 250 Sirmaur and the state's artists were given the opportunity to showcase their talent and art in the five cultural evenings of the fair.The Governor was honoured by Deputy Commissioner on behalf of Shri Renuka Ji Vikas Board by presenting him Sirmauri Loia, Dangra, Himachali Cap and Souvenirs on this occasion. MLA Renuka constituency Vinay Kumar, former Deputy Chairman of Scheduled Castes and Tribe Development Corporation Balbir Chauhan, ADC Aditya Negi, Additional Superintendent of Police Virender Thakur, SDM and Member Secretary Shri Renukaji Vikas Board Vivek Sharma, Renuka BJP Mandal President Pratap Tomar and other dignitaries and officials of different departments were also present on the occasion.
