Various delegations in separate meetings met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today and apprised him of their issues.Delegation of  the Apprentices of Accounts Clerk Course, Finance Department appealed to the Governor for granting full pay to them during their ongoing apprenticeship training course as per the 7th Pay Commission w.e.f 1-1-2018.Delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Unemployed Tourism Professionals Association/Tourism Trainees requested Governor to launch Rehber-I-Sayahat scheme for letting qualified tourism professionals join government tourism sector.Delegation of  the United National Contractors Association requested Governor to direct the authorities to expedite release of funds amounting to Rs. 2698.61 lakh for clearance of works done by the Contractors of the Estate Division, Srinagar, to restore the assets damaged due to September 2014 floods, belonging to the Estates Department Srinagar, and other Works. Delegation from Keran of Distt Kupwara demanded  Govt. Degree College for Keran, a Public School with CBSE curriculum; special recruitment drives for unemployed youth of Keran; relaxation in academic qualifications for government jobs and improvement in road connectivity in the area.Governor assured all the delegations appropriate consideration of their demands.
