DDC Anantnag reviews Eid-e-Milad arrangements

District Development Commissioner Anantnag Younis Malik today convened a meeting to review the arrangements being made for the forthcoming Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations in the district.The DDC emphasized upon the officers that all necessary arrangements be made in advance with regard to power supply, water supply, essential commodities, sanitation, traffic regulation and transport arrangements in connection with Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the district.Emphasizing on the reverence of the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), the DDC impressed upon all the concerned departments to ensure all their respective tasks are covered with responsibilities.He directed the PDD and the PHE to ensure uninterrupted power and water supplies to all the major congregation sites, particularly Khiram, Kabamarag and Seer Hamdan, the places of Holy relic of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) and also at other shrines like Rash Moul Sahib, Aishmuqam, Doru Shahabad, and Lisser during the revered days.He instructed for the provision of standby transformers and generators and mobile water tankers as a backup at the major worship places.The ARTO was directed to ensure adequate availability of transport facilities at all these places. The Traffic department was asked to prepare traffic regulation programme and parking plans in order to ensure hassle-free to-and-fro movement of vehicles.The Health Department was asked to set up medical aid camps and to ensure availability of medicines, doctors, and ambulance.The EOs of MCs were asked to ensure proper sanitation in and around the shrines during the Milad days.The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADCs and other concerned officers of various departments.
