The District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mohammed Younis Malik today visited Chitergull and Shangus blocks to discuss their Gram Panchayat Development Plan.The DDC was accompanied by ACD Anantnag, Exens of PHE, PDP, R&B, CMO Anantnag, Tehsildar Shangus, BDOs of Chitergull, Shangus, and other block level officers.Under Gram Panchayat Development Plan, Projects and schemes pertaining to the overall development of all the 14 and 19 Halqas of the Chitergull and Shangus respectively, were discussed in presences of the representatives from all the Halqas of the blocks, who apprised the DDC Anantnag regarding their day-to-day problems with regard to power supply, road connectivity, water supply, healthcare and other related issues. The DDC gave a patient hearing to their grievances and assured them of prompt redressal.On the occasion, the DDC said that there are 125 welfare schemes under different sectors being implemented in the district and need of the hour is to aware the general public about them.He stressed upon organizing awareness programmes regarding the implementation of all the schemes so that benefit reaches to the grass root level and people are well aware of the developmental schemes and programmes.The DDC instructed all the line departments to work in coordination for the better implementation of all the schemes. He also said that development in all the sectors including health, power, road connectivity, drinking water and sports is the priority of the administration.
