The Punjab Government is leaving no stone unturned to look after the well being of the families of those killed in the recent train mishap at joura railway crossing. As part of this, financial assistance in the form of Rs. 5 lakh each was provided today to the 9 more victim families. So for 38 families of rail mishap given cheques Rs. 5 lakh each. The assistance in the form of cheques was presented to the affected families by the cabinet ministers Brahm Mohindra and Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria in the presence of Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu.The ministers also shared the grief of the families.On the occasion while handing over the cheques, Brahm Mohindra said that the Punjab Government stands shoulder to shoulder with the victim families in their hour of grief. He also said that out of the total 58 deceased persons' families, 38 were given cheques of financial assistance. He also said that the rest of the families would also be given the cheques of financial assistance very soon.On the occasion, Mr. Sarkaria said that though the loss of life in the mishap is irreparable but the financial assistance provided by the Punjab Government would bring some soccur to the victim families. He said that Injured would also be provided financial assistance Rs. 50 thousand each soon.He said that the State Government would undertake every step for the rehabilitation of the affected families as it feels their pain.
