Deputy Commissioner Showkat Aijaz Bhat today reviewed the functioning of Revenue department here at a meeting of senior functionaries.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr.Basharat Hussain, ACR, Vevaik Puri, SDMs and Tehsildars.The DC reviewed the progress of settlement process under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and status of land records.He reviewed the progress with regard to writing of Jamabandi Charsalla, attestation of mutations and Girdawaries. The Tehsildars were directed to complete the Jammabandies, Girdawaries and regular updation of land record as per targets without any fail.Officers were instructed for early completion of land acquisition cases especially related to national projects besides preparation of Jambandi, attestation of mutations.Tehsildars were impressed to direct the Girdawars and Patwaris of their jurisdictions to prepare roznamcha,Jamabandi and other revenue records.
SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to pay frequent visits to government offices to ensure biometric attendance. He also asked them to hold camps and outreach programmes in their respective jurisdictions to resolve the people’s issues and provide them services at their door steps.The DC directed Tehsildars to frame an action plan for removing the encroachments from state and Kachrai Land in a time bond manner.He gave strict instructions to all SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure implementation of Jammu and Kashmir, Public Service Guarantee Act (JKPSGA) in their Jurisdictions in Letter and Spirit and ensure timely disposal of public issues and grievances. He directed the officers to forward the vacancies of class IV to recruitment agency for filling the same at the earliest.
