The JEE Mains 2019 will be conducted by National Testing Agency. Based on the latest notification, the examination pattern has gone through certain changes wherein, the examination will be now held twice a year, once in January and other in April. Furthermore, the examination will be conducted through Online Mode as a Computer Based Test (CBT).Pertaining to the examinations, the National Testing Agency has released a notification. According to the notifications, details about JEE MainPaper II have been put across by the Agency. As per the notification released by the authorities, the JEE Main Paper II which is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B.Plan in top NITs across the country, the Computer Based Test will be conducted solely for Mathematics and Aptitude Section, whereas the Drawing Section will be conducted through Pen and Paper Mode.JEE Main Registration for the same has been concluded and the corrections in the form can be made from October 8.
About the changes and notification
As mentioned prior, the JEE Main 2019 is all geared to be conducted by NTA. The examination from the coming year will be conducted through the Online Computer Based Test mode. However, there still remains a lot of obscurity lingering in the minds of the candidates. Thus, the authorities have released detailed information, which clears the air off confusion.One of the most asked questions is about how will the Paper II of JEE that makes an important eligibility criterion for Architecture course be conducted? However, based on the notification released, except for Drawing section in Paper II for (B.Arch and B.Plan) rest all will be conducted through Online mode including the Paper I of JEE Main for B.Tech Admission which will be completely Computer Based. However, the Drawing Paper will be conducted only through offline mode through the Pen and Paper Method.
Details about JEE Main Paper II
The JEE Main Paper II is conducted for checking the credibility of candidates who seek admissions into undergraduate courses of B.Arch and B.Planning in top NITs and GFTIs across the country. The Paper II will be conducted in the second half of the day i.e. from 2.30 to 5.30-time slot.The 3-hour long exam is divided into three sections namely Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing. As per the reports released by the authorities regarding the paper, candidates will have to attempt the first two sections of Mathematics and Aptitude in CBT mode while the Drawing section will be held through offline (Pen and paper-based) mode.
Session shift of JEE Main Paper II
In comparison to Paper I, the Paper II will be held only in one shift: 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, whereas the Paper I will be held in two shifts per day i.e. from one at 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Dates of JEE Main 2019
The JEE Main will be conducted twice a year from 2019. In January, the paper will be held from January 6, 2019, to January 20, 2019. The JEE Main Result for January Session will be announced on January 31, 2019.
Registration and Admit Card
The Online Registration for JEE Main 2019 is already closed. It was open from September 1st, 2018 to September 30, 2018. However, candidates can complete their payment procedure by October 1st, 2018. The Admit Card for the examination will be issued by NTA on December 17, 2018. Candidates can download the JEE Main 2019 Admit Card by visiting the official website of JEE.
Mock Tests for JEE Main
In order to acquaint the students with the Computer Based Test and the pattern of examination, the NTA has opened practice centers for JEE Mock Tests across the country starting September 1, 2018. Candidates can avail for the mock tests and get a detailed view about the examination and prepare themselves for the CBT mode of examination. The Registration for availing JEE Mock Tests is open and students can avail the same by visiting the testing centers near to their vicinity.
