A Multidisciplinary State Committee meeting of Tribal Affairs Department today recommended 7 cases of Voluntary Organizations (VOs) and NGOs to Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for Grants- in-Aids Project proposal.The Committee met here today under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Social Welfare, Cooperatives and Tribal Affairs Department (TA), Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone.Threadbare discussions were held on the functioning of the Multidisciplinary State Committee besides present status of various issues of the Tribal Affairs Department.Director, Tribal Affairs Mohammad Rafi briefed the Committee about the various aspects and present status of the VO/NGO cases lying pending before Committee. He also informed the Committee about the decisions already taken in previous meetings.Secretary directed the concerned to clear all deficiencies and bottlenecks regarding the verifications of documents and other aspects of the cases before sending them to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.Among others, Additional Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Abdul Sattar, Deputy Secretary, Rural Development Department & Panchayati Raj, Sandeep Seonotra, Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Rajeshwar Singh Charak besides, other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
