The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, V.P. Singh Badnore formally unveiled the book “THE GYPSY TRAIL – Travels and Travails of an Army Wife” authored by Mrs. Lily Swarn wife of a retired Col. S.S.Swarn at Punjab Raj Bhawan Chandigarh.Talking about the book, the author said the book is a humble attempt to acquaint the readers with the fascinating life of army and that of the army wives in particular. It is the recollection of a dreamy eyed young bride, Mili, plunged straight into the exciting, adventurous and unpredictable world of the services. From far flung remote cantonments to small towns with forgotten history – she traverses the vast landscape of India enriching her life experiences.The Governor while appreciating the author's third book "The Gypsy Trail" termed it an amazing book with a clear description of the most fascinating towns and cities across the Country. The author has vividly covered the arduous as well as the pleasure life of an army officer.Also present on the occasion were Gen and Mrs. Rambir Singh Mann, Gen and Mrs Bhupinder Singh, Colonel Manbir Hundal, Ms.Vandana Chadha, Brig.
