DDC Rajouri chairs DLRC meeting

District Development Commissioner  Mohammad Aijaz Asad today reviewed the progress achieved under various schemes launched by the banks in collaboration with the line departments for the quarter ending June 2018, here at a meeting of   District level Review Committee (DLRC).The lead bank manager, Officers of the concerned departments, representatives from RBI, Cluster Head of J&K Bank and District Coordinators of various Banks operating in the district attended the meeting.The meeting discussed in detail progress and achievements made by the Banks in the implementation of various government-sponsored schemes.Giving details about the performance of Banks, District lead bank Manager informed the meeting that total credit deposit from all the banks operating in the district ending quarter June 2018 stands at Rs 3586.69 and the advances are to the tune of Rs 1150.48 crore. The Credit Deposit Ratio at the end of June 2018 stands at 32.08 percent.The meeting was informed that rural branches of banks have conducted 95 awareness camps under the financial literacy programme to aware the rural population about the financial inclusion and other schemes.

The meeting was informed that under RSETI, 86 candidates have been trained during this financial year, of which 50 are settled now. A threadbare discussion was done regarding the progress under the Govt. sponsored schemes like PMEGP, KVIB, ACC of handicrafts, MCP of handloom Department NULUM, NLRM , dairy entrepreneurship development schemes Prime minister weaver mudra yojana SGH under NRL and NULM. The officers’ implementing these schemes raised some important issues regarding the timely disposal of cases by the bank,dossier of  formalities for the entrepreneur claiming loan up to 5 lakhs.It was informed that under KCC scheme, 69161 cases were sanctioned against the target of 67800.The DDC directed the bank officials to make people aware of the schemes and held joint awareness camp with government departments and sanction only need-based projects. He directed the District sheep husbandry officer to submit a DPR for opening of dairy centers in Lamberi  and  Budhal which will act as the feeder of milk to other areas.

Highlighting the importance of spreading financial literacy, the DDC directed the bank to submit block-wise report mentioning the places where the concerned banks conducted the camps.Regarding the issues of delay in processing of the cases sponsored by government departments to the banks, the DDC directed the concerned officers to provide a list of the number of cases which are held up by the banks beyond one month time.He directed the bank authorities and the government officials to fill the communication gap to improve the delivery system at their ends. Meanwhile, the DDC also approved the annual credit plan of Rs 620.93 crore, which includes farm credit with the allocation of Rs 246.72 crore, agriculture infrastructure with an allocation to the tune of Rs 5.25 crore, ancillary activities having an allocation of Rd 43.07 Crore.The allocation for micro, small and medium enterprises was kept at Rs 255.53 crore, the allocation for education is fixed at Rs 11.62 crore, and allocation for housing is Rs 46.87 crore and the allocation for infrastructure public investment, social infrastructure involving bank credit is  Rs 8.55 crore and allocation for the renewable energy projects is kept at  Rs 3.30 crore.
