Stating the development of scientific temperament among students as the need of the hour, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr G N Itoo today said that the Department is taking necessary steps regularly to attract students towards this subject.Referring to different science competitions and exhibitions organized by the Department during the current session, DSEK stressed upon all the students to take an active part in these types of activities. He was speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of District Level Science Model Exhibition held at GHSS Kothibagh. The exhibition was organized by Directorate of School Education Kashmir and Department of Science and Technology.Around a dozen models were put for exhibition by different schools of the District which include GHSS Kothibagh, GHSS Amira Kadal, GHSS Rajbagh, GHSS Nawakadal, GHSS Rajbagh, S P Higher Secondary Institute, BHSS Jawaharnagar, Green Valley Educational Institute and Burn Hall School.The students of Green Valley Educational Institute and GHSS Kothibagh were among the winners of the model exhibition.Speaking on the occasion Joint Director Department of Science and Technology Dr Mehrajud din appreciated the cooperation rendered by the administration of the GHSS Kothibagh during the Science Model Exhibition and said that it is the need of the hour to promote these kinds of activities at the school level as well.Principal GHSS Kothibagh Romana Qazi welcomed the guests and also stated that the interest of the students for this exhibition was encouraging.
