On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, various Shanti Marches carried out in city ludhiana and sub-divisions today. Thousands of people participated in these marches with utmost devotion. District Level Shanti March was organised from Guru Nanak Stadium, which was flagged off by Member of Lok Sabha Ravneet Singh Bittu in the presence of MLA Mr Rakesh Pande, MLA Mr Surinder Dawar, MLA Sanjay Talwar, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dev.) Dr. Shena Aggarwal, SDM Mr Amarjit Singh Bains, SDM Mr Damanjit Singh Mann, Senior Deputy Mayor Mr Sham Sunder Malhotra and thousands of participants.While speaking on the function, Mr Bittu told that we should adopt the path of life shown by Mahatma Gandhi. It is a need of hour to spread the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi to every heart and house. He congratulated the people on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and appealed to contribute in nation building.Shanti March was started from Guru Nanak Stadium and passed through Fountain Chowk, College Road, Rose Garden, Cemetery Road, Fountain Chowk and concluded at the starting point.Similarly, Shanti Marches were also held in all sub-divisions of district Ludhiana in which many people participated.
