Like other parts of the country the second Anniversary of surgical strike day was celebrated in Jammu with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma flagged off a rally from Maharaja Hari Singh Park to BalidanStambh, here today.Students from various Government and Private schools participated in the rally holding banners and placards amid chanting of the slogans in praise of Indian Army   and conveying   gratitude to brave military forces of India.While paying tributes to the martyred soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation, the Div Com said the nation will always remain indebted to them for their supreme sacrifice and devotion towards duty. The Div Com also presented token of appreciation to the family members of martyrs.The participating students also interacted with the family members of martyrs who lost their life for nation.Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, IGP Jammu, Dr. S D Singh Jamwal, SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta, ADDC Jammu SuriyaJabeen, ACR Jammu Nissar Ahmed, Honorary Captain Bana Singh, family members of martyrs were also present on the occasion.
