Governor Acharya Devvrat said that Indian civilization was most ancient as well as richest. He said that most glorious aspect of the civilization was that it focuses upon inculcating humanitarian values (Maanav Nirmaan) in individuals by developing inspiring qualities like empathy, compassion and sensitivity which strengthened spirit of oneness and brotherhood and promotes peace in the society. He said that there was a need to adopt traditional values and ancient wisdom of our rich traditional literature which were almost forgotten in the present times. The Governor was speaking in a programme on “Bhartiya Sanskriti and Gau Sewa” at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh in commemoration of 19th anniversary of Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijayanath ji Maharaj and the 4th anniversary of Mahant Avedynath ji Maharaj, today. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has specially invited the Governor in this program, in view of their significant contributions towards the development of Indian Culture and cow protection.The Governor said that Vedas were rich sources of knowledge and wisdom and youth should be aware of them. He added that wisdom of Vedas was acknowledged across the world. He stressed upon the need to make young generation aware about the glorious traditions and cultural heritage of our country so that they could develop a sense of pride and patriotism. 

He said that proper balance should be maintained between modernity and tradition so that we can move along with times and can learn every new thing that will contribute to our development. He said that India was a country of spiritual thoughts and since ages our tradition have remained liberal. Human service and welfare have been our objective, he added. Lauding the ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’ campaign, Governor said that our culture held women in high esteem and any society that respected women have progressed. He urged the youth to come forward for strengthening the nation by participating actively in generating awareness about the importance of cleanliness and harmful effects of drugs.Governor said that in order to promote healthy living it was essential to promote natural farming and added that majority of population resides in villages and hence farming was an important vocation which should be strengthened for the well being of residents of rural areas. He said that it was essential to make people aware about the benefits of natural farming and added that natural farming has many ecological benefits and contributes to healthy living. He said that more farmers should be encouraged to practice the same besides educating consumers to buy natural food.Addressing the gathering, the Governor appealed the farmers to adopt Zero Budget Natural Farming for increasing the production in their farms besides preferring Indian cow breeds. He said that agriculture and animal husbandry were backbone of the economy and the development of the country depended upon the growth and prosperity of farming community. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Governor.
